Dr. Scott enjoys practicing all aspects of modern optometry, including comprehensive family eye exams, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases, red eyes, foreign body removal, routine and difficult contact lens fits (toric, bifocal, RGP, keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, etc.).
Dr. Scott grew up in West Virginia, where he earned the bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Marshall University. He earned a second bachelor’s degree and the doctorate degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA, where he received a Citation for Clinical Excellence in Primary Care at the Eye Institute.
While working on eyes is his profession, but he also enjoys working on computers, cars, small engines, farm equipment, target shooting, endless home improvement projects, spending time with wife, Kristie, and their young men, Justin and Andrew.
Dr. Scott’s professional philosophy is to treat all patients as if they were members of his own family. How is that possible?
It’s only possible if the doctor is willing to go the extra mile – the same mile he is willing to go for his family. That means he comes in after-hours for injuries or other serious problems. If patients don’t feel their prescription is just right, Dr. Scott keeps working with them until they are 100% satisfied. If there is better equipment to care for the patient, he buys it.
Dr. Scott is a family doctor in practice, not just in name.
