Like you, we are closely following the news and monitoring the COVID-19 impact on our community. We are committed to continuing to take the necessary and recommended precaution and to stay in communication with you.
The mission of our office is to ensure the health and safety of our patients, staff and the community we serve. We are taking proactive measures in our office with our staff and patients to keep our office as clean and as safe as possible.
Our office is open normal business hours. Below are new policies that have been implemented.
All employees are following the CDC’s recommendation of wearing masks and hand washing or hand sanitizing throughout their shifts
We are requiring all employees and patients who are not feeling well or have any symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath to stay home until they are feeling better, and to follow up with their healthcare provider.
Employees take their temperature twice daily.
Patients and visitors are greeted at the door to have their temperature taken and asked to use hand sanitizer.
Only one patient per family may enter for examination. Exceptions are made for one parent/guardian with a child or caregiver for the elderly.
Necessary forms will be sent electronically to be completed before arrival.
We are spacing our patients out to avoid other patient interaction.
We are careful to wipe down all our equipment after every use
We are sanitizing all eyeglass frames after trial, along with the frame displays.
Constant disinfecting of all hard surfaces such as counter-tops and door handles.
Social Contact: We have, regretfully, stopped shaking hands or having any unnecessary physical contact with patients. A simple wave, salute, kind word, or greeting are not only acceptable but preferred. Get creative with your kindness when interacting.
We are asking that any patients who need to order contacts have them direct-shipped to your home. Many companies offer free shipping but understand shipping fees may be applied.
Please call us ahead of time if you need to pick up any orders, contact lenses, or glasses; we are happy to deliver them out to your car.
